 A delicious, light, walnut flour-less cake with whipped cream filling. My inspiration was a dress that I saw in a  TV show, I wish I had a picture to post....

Birthday cake for a 8 yr old lovely girl who loves animals. One of her favorite toys is "Littlest Pet Shop" too, so I incorporated both themes. Another requirement was to have a bow, so I gave her two.

All of the following are my first tries of making each cake/sweet....so be nice :)

I love exotic fruit and this was a chocolate cup (that you can't really see because it didn't turn out as expected) filled with figs, star fruit, raspberries, and red currant.

I was fascinated by the ease with which those guys on Youtube blow sugar into amazing figurines and shapes, so here is my first try - a sugar bowl to hold my holiday fruit.  I haven't tried since, but I am getting ready to... 

Candle Cakes

I was extremely unhappy with the way my candle cakes were turning out just a few hours before my guests were to arrive for the New Year's Eve dinner, and I was so much in a hurry, that I just plopped them on the table and lit the candles. It wasn't until an hour into the dinner when I mentioned that this was the cake dessert and everyone was very surprised, they hadn't even noticed. Whew! I could relax, it seemed that it actually wasn't so bad.

This is Tuby, my friend's rabbit, made out of squash.

It's a Boy! And he is already born and adorable!

My husband always says that I make cakes for other people but there is never one for home. This was especially for him!
